Contents of the Course
MethodsIndividual and group assignments, teaching interaction during class, case studies, discussions, and simulations. PrerequisitesFormal: Full-time students in the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. Academic: Students must be able to function in an English-speaking environment. AssessmentWritten (applied research) paper: You will be asked to research and write a paper that addresses topics of interest in the workplace today. You will also present your results to the class. Specific instructions concerning this project will be provided in a separate document. (40%) Oral Presentations: You will be asked to give several presentations in class that include short and informal presentations, persuasive speech, and formal presentations both individually and in a group. (30%) Writing Assignments: Students will apply their knowledge by developing, conducting, and evaluating a variety of weekly homework writing assignments. (30%)
